Always wanted to try stand-up? This WOMEN-ONLY workshop with Shamaine Othman will guide you through building a 3-minute routine, polishing punchlines, and testing them out in a supportive space.

WHAT YOU WILL DO?
This workshop is open to women who want to try stand-up comedy ; whether it’s your very first time or you’ve dabbled in open mics.
P/S: Please come prepared with a 3-minute set or a funny story to work on.
What you’ll learn:
- Finding your stand-up persona
- Basic joke structure
- Incorporating storytelling into your set
In the second half, you’ll perform your 3-minute material with live feedback from your instructor, Shamaine Othman.
What you’ll learn :
- Delivery – how you land the joke, timing, pacing, and clarity
- Energy – keeping the audience engaged with your vibe and commitment
- Stage Presence – owning the space with confidence, body language, and Connection

Feeling brave? End the day by performing your set at the Stand-Up, Sis! Show, alongside Shaq Munisamy, Marissa Wong, Shamaine Othman and Joanne Kam. Participation is completely voluntary but highly encouraged!
