At Dua KL, the black box turns into a time machine, a cabaret, and a living diary — all in the hands of Shanthini Venugopal. For over 40 years, she’s slipped from ingénue to matriarch, storyteller to songstress, with the kind of ease that only a lifetime on stage can bring.
In “Look at Me!”, Shanthini doesn’t just perform — she lets you in. Through wit, warmth, and a voice that carries both velvet and fire, she revisits the highs, heartbreaks, and hilarities of her journey.
Set to the timeless sounds of Roberta Flack, Nat King Cole, the Carpenters and more, the show is part concert, part confession, part celebration — and entirely Shanthini.
✨ At Dua KL, the stage is closer, the stories sharper, the laughter louder, and the music unforgettable. ✨
This isn’t just another evening out. It’s a chance to watch a life lived under the lights — and to leave carrying a little of that light with you.

At Shanthini Venugopal's 'Look At Me' show on 24 th July. What a beautiful voice and an entertaining evening. Thrilled to see the two very talented sisters performing together when her sister Sukania came on stage to accompany her. Shanthini kept us entertained for two hours on the strength of her gutsy, lovable personality and strong sultry voice sharing the story of her life, her struggles and achievements. Was very touched when she sang a song dedicated to a mutual friend Mano Maniam who passed away recently. Congratulations on a great show Shanthini. 💕 Runs from 24-27 july. CloudJoi.

A truly special evening at Look At Me — a heartfelt sharing of Shanthini Venugopal’s journey through music, memories, and meaning. Shanthini, a dear friend and a beautiful soul inside and out, brought us into her world with grace, humour, and honesty. Always ready with wisdom and warmth, she lights up every room.
The stage was even more magical with her sister Sukania, both carrying the incredible legacy of their late mother’s voice and artistry. A privilege to witness this celebration of sisterhood, stories, and song.

I really enjoyed last night's performance. Not only did it allow me to appreciate many beautiful songs, but it also helped me understand and get to know you better. The show gave me a glimpse of the beautiful essence of a woman living life on her own terms, especially the final song, My Way. Since I also used this song in my work last year, it resonated with me deeply. I think you could continue with this theme and share more about women's contents . ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Look at Me! was nothing short of magical.
Shanthini delivered a performance filled with humour, grace, and raw honesty. She shared her life on stage not just as an artist, but as a person deeply shaped by love. Love for her family, her friends, her craft.
She was also so funny; with impeccable timing, cheeky asides, and an ease that kept us laughing throughout. And more than that, she was completely and unapologetically herself. There’s so much power in that: in seeing someone stand in their truth, owning their journey with humour and heart. It was disarming, refreshing, and deeply moving.
Each song she sang carried the weight of memory and emotion, weaving personal stories with familiar melodies. Whether joyful or tender, each one resonated with sincerity. Her reflections on family were especially touching. And when her sister Sukania joined her onstage for a few songs, it added an extra layer of warmth and closeness that was rare and beautiful to witness.
One of the most special moments of the night was how she moved through the audience. She created an atmosphere of intimacy, where it didn’t feel like a performance at us, but a conversation with us.
The show made me laugh, cry, and reflect. It reminded me of the power of storytelling, and the beauty of a life fully lived and generously shared.
