Show Synopsis
Class 12 proudly presents The Good Person of Szechwan by Bertolt Brecht
In a world plagued by misfortune and indifference, three gods descend from the heavens in search of a person who is truly pure of heart. The gods encounter Shen Te, a tender-hearted prostitute, and bestow upon her enough wealth to start a new life. However, Shen Te’s kind-hearted nature is exploited by those around her, and she struggles to maintain her kindness amid the harsh demands of a capitalist society. Caught between compassion and self-preservation, Shen Te must confront the impossible question: can one remain good in this world?

About Sasana International School Class 12 Play
Each year, in a defining moment in their Waldorf education journey, the Class 12 students of Sasana International School will present a full-scale drama production. This milestone marks their transition from high school, preparing them for the next phase of their lives.
The Class 12 drama production is entirely student-driven. From pre-production work to the final performances on stage, the Class 12 students take full ownership of the process. They are involved in every step of the way, from promotion of the play, stage and costume design, music and sound effect, and the direction of the class play. Under the guidance of their teachers, they shoulder the responsibility for the show’s success, which provides opportunities to gain experiences and learn soft skills along the way.
Drama serves as a powerful medium for self-discovery, allowing students to explore their individuality through the characters they portray and the stories they tell. This collaborative journey fosters both personal and social growth, it’s a transformative process into another version of themselves.
By attending, you support and celebrate this pivotal moment, becoming a warm, welcoming presence witnessing their journey of growth.
