About

【Empty Frame】is a space with no script, no choreography—only possibilities shaped by connection and the shared language of the body. It is a space that captivates with its unpredictability, strength of presence, and radical honesty of togetherness in listening. The improvised beauty of this creation relies on the exchange of attention, and sincere dedication to exploration between dance, sounds, and space.

【Empty Frame】invites the audience to witness dance as a raw, evolving conversation—where meaning is not imposed, but discovered.

Guan's theatre direction and sound design are exemplified in '25’s Cijin White Roses Chronicle,' staged from 2022 to 2025 at Taiwan’s Taipei National Theater, Taichung National Theatre, and Kaohsiung WeiWuYing Theater. His award-winning immersive performance 'Space Age – The Phantom Power' has toured Tokyo, Jakarta, Seoul, and Taiwan, redefining spatial and sensory experiences through sound and theatrical elements.
His theatre work extends to site-specific creations such as 'Finding Malta,' a solo music performance for AltoFest, and 'Transmissions from Beyond,' an environmental theatre piece for OneBeat X in New Mexico.
