Foo Chiwei is a versatile creative professional bridging the visual and performing arts. He studied Odissi under Datuk Ramli Ibrahim at Sutra Dance Theatre (2002–2012) and later gravitated to Butoh, drawn by its non-gendered movement language, and deepened his practice with the late Yukio Waguri. His extensive performance credits include collaborations with Donna Miranda, Aida Redza, Dr Zulkifli Mohamad, Rithaudin Abdul Kadir, Nibroll Dance Company, Yukio Waguri, Nyoba Kan, Yumiko Yoshioka, Soubi Sha, and KL Shakespeare Players. He currently serves as a BOH Cameronian Arts Awards jury member and as Vice President of MyDance Alliance for the 2025–2027 term.
