Angel Ang & Friends

A growing name in the industry, Angel Ang & Friends is a 6 Piece Band. Angel formed her band along with her musician friends in 2018 and have since been swinging & gracing the stages of iconic performance venues around Kuala Lumpur & Selangor. A growing & new staple to the Malaysian music scene, the collective recontextualizes classic and modern day jazz, local Malay & Shanghai jazz tunes with ingenious arrangements that would leave listeners wanting more & also to tickle their dancing feet. The band is versatile in various styles, from Swing and Shanghai jazz to RnB and pop.

Alongside her talented friends, Han Yun on guitar, Zulhilmy who is the Music Director of the band and on bass, Abbas Munawwar on drums, Sylvia Wong on keys and Jonathan Khor on Violin. Together the Band formed a team unbreakable, leaving only smiles & laughter to the audiences in every show they perform.

Some of the prestigious venues that the band has performed in are MPJF (Malaysian Piano Jazz Festival), Jao Tim, Blue@EQ hotel, Trader’s Skybar and many more. The band also actively performs for corporate events and weddings all year round.
