About
Birthed at The Joke Factory back in May 2023, The Minorities show saw both joint and individual headlining performances by Ming Yue and Harvinth—the official “Minorities Duo”–-and featured an impressive row of comics like Harith Iskandar and Kavin Jay. Overselling the night by twofold and coupled with their combined popular demand across Malaysian states since then, the duo are set to front their second slew of shows dubbed The Minorities Tour – this time with Singaporean gem, Hirzi.
Happening on the 2nd, 9th, and 16th of December, The Minorities Tour 2023 will showcase the ‘minorities’ themselves sharing years of struggles whilst celebrating differences as audiences laugh with and at them. Get ready for an evening filled with tragic love, acceptance, some strange encounters, and the best part is that the shows aren’t just packed to the brim with quality comedy, but will also be incorporating games, sketches, and music!
If there had to be a main message behind the comedic venture, let it be this: “Whether you’ve ever been called a weirdo or a rebel; felt like an outcast or just never have been one to fit in; you’ve been a minority – and we’re celebrating it”.
