1999年，《释迦牟尼佛传》音乐剧在马来西亚撼动问世，开创了许多第一，也是中文音乐剧以及佛教表演艺术的一大里程碑。音乐剧以宏大而精致的制作，讲述了悉达多太子从诞生到悟道的不凡历程，多年来在多个不同的城市和地点演出都感动人心，深获好评。
配合2026年的卫塞节，《释迦牟尼佛传》音乐剧将携手kIpac管弦乐团，联手呈献一场特别的演唱会。当悠扬的管弦乐章遇上美妙的歌声，当现代艺术表现邂逅千年佛教智慧，这场跨越时空的艺术对话，将佛陀伟大的一生娓娓道来，为观众带来洗涤心灵的艺术体验。
In 1999, "Siddhartha The Musical" made a groundbreaking debut in Malaysia, setting many unprecedented milestones and marking a significant leap forward for Chinese musicals and Buddhist performing arts. With its grand and exquisite production, the musical narrates the extraordinary journey of Prince Siddhartha from birth to enlightenment. Over the years, it has moved audiences and garnered widespread acclaim in performances across various cities and venues.
In celebration of Wesak 2026, "Siddhartha The Musical" will collaborate with the klpac orchestra to present a special concert. As the melodious symphony meets enchanting vocals, and contemporary artistic expression encounters millennia-old Buddhist wisdom, this concert transcends time and space, eloquently recounts the great life of the Buddha, offering audiences a soul-cleansing artistic experience.

Asia Musical Productions was founded by Ho Lin Huay in 1999. It has gathered a group of talented Malaysian with great enthusiasm in musical theatre. The company’s vision and goal is to produce top notch musicals, cultivate local talent to achieve international standards in musical theatres to the likeness of New York Broadway and London West End. Asia Musical Productions have produced numerous highly acclaimed and award-winning musicals including Siddhartha, Above Full Moon, The Perfect Circle I, II, III, Princess Wen Cheng (Jewel of Tibet), Kita, Singing Market, Tales of 4 Dialects, The Story of Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva and Medicine Buddha. The company has performed in Malaysia, Singapore, South Africa, Indonesia, China, Taiwan and South Korea and received rave reviews from the audiences.
