Pudding à la Mode Gouache Painting Workshop

Step into the nostalgic world of Japanese kissaten, traditional coffee shops known for their retro charm and classic café desserts.

This time, we’re painting a Japanese dessert favourite: Purin à la Mode, a classic Japanese pudding served with whipped cream, colourful fruits, and a cherry on top. Think glossy caramel, silky custard, and all the little details that make this retro dessert almost too pretty to eat.

In this 4-hour gouache painting workshop, we’ll explore colour mixing, layering, brush control, and painting delicious-looking details together. Your drawing will be pre-traced, and I’ll guide you through the painting process step by step.

Beginners are welcome! Just a little heads-up that the pace may be challenging for first-timers, as we’ll be working on a detailed painting within 4 hours. Come ready to learn, challenge yourself, and enjoy a little creative café date.

• Suitable for:  Intermediate students aged 18 and above (Beginners are welcome! Just a little heads-up that the pace may be challenging for first-timers as we’ll be painting two detailed pieces in 4 hours. I’ll guide you along the way!)

Materials Provided

All painting materials will be provided for class use, so you just need to come. Your drawing will be pre-traced, so there’s no need to worry about drawing from scratch.
