Content Advisory

This classic Greek tragedy is a powerful story about morality and justice, but it contains mature themes such as grief and loss. We believe these themes offer a meaningful opportunity for reflection. We encourage families to attend together and use the performance as a starting point for discussions on justice and resilience.

Show Synopsis

Would you lay down your life for a loved one?

Antigone, a play proudly presented by Class 12 2026, begs the question: Would you defy the law to ensure peace for your loved ones?

Out of love for her late brothers, the princess of Thebes, Antigone, defies the laws set by the current king Creon to conduct burial rites for her younger brother. Despite knowing that the punishment of disobeying the law is death, Antigone still proceeds with the ritual.

Eventually, she is caught, and forced to face the consequences. Will she repent and beg for forgiveness, or will she stay true to her intentions and face death?

Join us on a journey of contemplation: should we obey the law, or follow our heart and do what we believe is just? 🪦⚖️⚔️

About Sasana International School Class 12 Play

Each year, in a defining moment in their Waldorf education journey, the Class 12 students of Sasana International School will present a full-scale drama production. This milestone marks their transition from high school, preparing them for the next phase of their lives.

The Class 12 drama production is entirely student-driven. From pre-production work to the final performances on stage, the Class 12 students take full ownership of the process. They are involved in every step of the way, from promotion of the play, stage and costume design, music and sound effect, and the direction of the class play. Under the guidance of their teachers, they shoulder the responsibility for the show’s success, which provides opportunities to gain experiences and learn soft skills along the way.

Drama serves as a powerful medium for self-discovery, allowing students to explore their individuality through the characters they portray and the stories they tell. This collaborative journey fosters both personal and social growth, it’s a transformative process into another version of themselves.

By attending, you support and celebrate this pivotal moment, becoming a warm, welcoming presence witnessing their journey of growth.

All proceeds from the production will contribute to Class 12 and school fundraising efforts.
