如果妖怪沒有消失，只是換了一種方式存在於今天。

在亞洲文化裡，妖怪、鬼神與民俗傳說，從來不只是恐怖故事。它們承載著人們對自然、未知、社會秩序與集體記憶的想像，也反映了不同時代如何定義「異常」與「他者」。

A_Root 同根生以「妖怪轉型正義」為創作視角，重新觀看那些曾被標記、被恐懼、被排除於主流敘事之外的存在，探索它們如何在當代重新被理解，並展現屬於這個時代的新意義。 然而，妖怪從未離開。 它們隨著時代轉換形貌，從古老傳說中的鬼神，映照到今日文明中的集體焦慮。演算法、資訊洪流、流量競爭、孤獨與無止境的效率追求，成為新世代共同依賴、敬畏，也難以逃離的力量。

「BAND 是同根生」是 A_Root 首次來到馬來西亞的巡演，也是一次跨越地域的文化相遇。 這場演出將民族樂器、電子、另類搖滾與民謠交織，穿梭於神話與現實、傳統與未來之間，帶領觀眾進入一場屬於亞洲文化記憶與當代情緒的聲響旅程。

What if monsters never disappeared, but simply found new ways to exist in today’s world?

Across Asian cultures, monsters, spirits, and folk legends have never been merely stories of fear. They carry humanity’s imagination of nature, the unknown, social order, and collective memory. They also reveal how each era defines what is considered “different,” “abnormal,” or “the other.”

A_Root approaches its music through the concept of “Monster Transitional Justice” — revisiting those beings that have been labeled, feared, and excluded from mainstream narratives, and exploring how they can be reinterpreted with new meanings in contemporary society.

Yet monsters have never truly left us.

They have transformed with time, evolving from ancient spirits and mythical creatures into reflections of today’s collective anxieties. Algorithms, information overload, the pursuit of attention, loneliness, and endless demands for efficiency have become the new forces that this generation depends on, fears, and cannot escape.

“THE BAND IS A_ROOT” marks A_Root’s first tour in Malaysia, representing a cultural encounter across borders.

Blending traditional instruments, electronic music, alternative rock, and folk elements, the performance travels between mythology and reality, tradition and the future — inviting audiences into a sonic journey through Asian cultural memories and contemporary emotions.
