About Juan José
A Spanish conductor and pedagogue with high degrees in clarinet, orchestral conducting, and choral conducting and pedagogy. He has conducted orchestras in the world's most prestigious concert halls, including the Franz Liszt Hall in Budapest, the Cairo Opera House, Smetana Hall in Prague, and the Musikverein in Vienna.
He regularly teaches conducting at leading American universities such as the Colburn School in Los Angeles and Philadelphia Temple. He is the conductor of the Orchestra and Choir of the University of Almería and a professor in its Master's program in conducting.
About the Singer
Malaysian coloratura mezzo-soprano Lim Yee Fen is a highly accomplished classical vocalist and vocalinstructor recognized for her exceptional agility, rich tone, and profound artistry. A leading voice in the Malaysian classical music community, she won first prize at the 39th Malaysia National Classical Singing Competition and went on to claim the championship at the 6th ASEAN Bangkok Opera Competition.
Yee Fen holds a Bachelor of Music (Honours) from UCSI University and earned her Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL) in Voice Recital with Distinction. Her refined vocalism and deep musicality have been shaped under the guidance of esteemed industry mentors, including the late Madam Loh Siew Tuan.
With a deep passion for the demanding agility and expression of the bel canto repertoire, Yee Fen has established herself as a versatile and compelling singing actress on the Malaysian stage and beyond. Her notable operatic credits include performing as Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni and Mercédès in Bizet’s Carmen. On the concert stage, she is an equally sought-after soloist, having delivered acclaimed performances as the alto soloist in Handel’s Messiah and Beethoven’s monumental Symphony No. 9.
Alongside her active performing career, Yee Fen is a dedicated vocal instructor based in Malaysia, passionate about nurturing the country's next generation of vocal talent and elevating the appreciation of classical vocal traditions.
About the Pianist
Cadis Lee Ying Jie is currently a lecturer at UCSI University, her alma mater where she graduated with Bachelor (Hons.) of Classical Music under the tutelage of Morag Yong Ker Syn, majoring in classical piano performance.
She is actively involved in the scene where she is hired as a répétiteur in opera productions of Kuala Lumpur City Opera (KLCO), Malaysia’s only active opera company. She was also the chorusmaster for Tutan Entertainment’s Broadway and Beyond: A Musical Journey Through Stage and Screen, 2024, and the music director for KLCO’s The Golden Age of Broadway, 2025. Together with Stephen Tseu and Yap Qin, she formed a trio that presented its debut recital in August 2025.
She also involves actively in piano pedagogy and was appointed adjudicator for the preliminaries of International Piano Festival and Competition in 2022, Perfect Tone Piano Competitions and Veranza’s Music Competition in Medan, Indonesia. She was also invited as a panel judge for 46th Central Malaysia Vocal Competition.
Cadis Lee Ying Jie graduated from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign with a Doctor of Musical Arts in Vocal Coaching and Accompanying under the tutelage of Michael Tilley; and studied Master of Music under the tutelage of Scott Mitchell at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Cadis maintains an active role as a collaborative pianist with instrumentalists, frequently performing in recitals, masterclasses, and competitions. She has also played in conducting workshops and in orchestral performances.
