About
One Mic Stand.
In 2012, One Mic Stand began as Malaysia's first weekly open-mic for stand-up comedy and has birthed many of today's top local comics you see today. Today OMS is a producer of high-quality comedy shows that highlight the great talents of Malaysia. OMS is also responsible for the highly successful and beloved comedy panel show KOPISHOP KONVERSATIONS.
3 of Malaysia's most eccentric, off the cuff, underrated and LOL-tastic comedians will team up to bring you a night of solid and unpredictable laughs in THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE FUNNY! Prakash Daniel, Brian Tan and Keren Bala Devan (the trio from the fan-favourite KOPISHOP KONVERSATIONS show) join forces for a 3-in-1 comedy show. There will be stand-up, there will be improv and also perhaps... some Q&A? It'll be a mixed bag of goodies which will all result in laughs galore!
BRIAN TAN
A mainstay of the Malaysian comedy scene, Brian Tan has been making audiences laugh since 2012. He has performed all around his home country and done shows in Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia. In 2015 he was invited to Australia for the prestigious Melbourne International Comedy Festival as part of the Comedy Zone Asia line-up show. Not only is he accomplished on stage but also off stage as well as he has credit mentions in 3 Malaysian Netflix specials (Harith Iskander, Kavin Jay & Gajen Nad). He has opened for numerous big acts, recently for Joe Wong in Singapore. Brian loves making fun of his Malaysian Chinese background and his obsession with languages.
Keren Bala Devan is a Malaysian stand-up comedian known for his sharp, observant humour and unapologetic rants about the absurdities of everyday life. With over a decade in comedy, he turns frustration into punchlines, finding the funny in modern culture, social habits, and everything in between.
He has headlined shows across Kuala Lumpur and Petaling Jaya, performed internationally in Singapore’s Comedy Masala, and opened for Ronny Chieng. Keren has also appeared on KOMEDIRI (Astro), Oi! Jaga Mulut (iflix), and performed at the Singapore International Comedy Fringe Festival.
As part of the comedy collective The Angry Indians, he continues to bring his distinctive voice to stages across Malaysia and the region.
Prakash Daniel is a Malaysian stand-up comedian, performer, and photographer whose journey began as a passionate audience member at the country’s first open mic, One Mic Stand. In 2012, he took the leap onto the stage—and never looked back.
Today, he is not only a performer but also a driving force behind One Mic Stand, Malaysia’s longest-running comedy open mic, helping nurture the next generation of comics alongside Brian Tan. His sharp observational humour, infectious energy, and unmistakable laugh have made him a standout in the local comedy scene.
Prakash has performed across Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines, and has shared the stage with international names such as Gina Yashere, Tom Rhodes, Paul Ogata, Dilruk Jayasinha, and more. He has also appeared at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival as part of Comedy Zone Asia and hosted Comedy Central’s Stand Up Asia in 2017.
Beyond stand-up, he has toured with the hit show The Angry Indians and made appearances in film and digital content with platforms like Jinnyboy TV and The Ming Thing.
From open mics to international stages, Prakash continues to bring his bold, relatable humour and booming presence to audiences everywhere.
