About

Apurva Sanghi isn’t your typical mentalist.

A World Bank economist with a PhD from the University of Chicago, he has spent decades studying how people think, decide, and behave. Along the way, he discovered something fascinating: our minds reveal far more than we realise.

Now he brings those insights to the stage.

Magic of the Mind blends psychology, behavioural economics, observation, and theatrical skill into an interactive experience where the audience becomes part of the performance. The result is an evening filled with moments that feel impossible, yet are rooted in the subtle ways we unconsciously communicate through our choices, reactions, habits, and patterns.

Over the years, Apurva has performed for audiences around the world, including CEOs, diplomats, senior government officials, and even a Justice of the United States Supreme Court. His reputation has been built not on grand illusions, but on intelligent, engaging performances that leave audiences questioning how much of their thinking is truly private.

This is not a traditional magic show.

There are no rabbits, no smoke, and no elaborate stage illusions.

Instead, expect an intimate encounter with the mysteries of perception, intuition, influence, and decision-making. Clever, interactive, surprising, and occasionally unsettling, Magic of the Mind invites you to experience what happens when an economist turns his understanding of human behaviour into live entertainment.

Presented in the intimate setting of BoboKL, this is mentalism at its most personal. In a room this close, there is nowhere to hide.
