About
This two-day intensive introduces the fundamentals of clowning through play, physical exercises, and improvisation.
Using the red nose 🔴 — the smallest mask in the world — participants will explore and discover their own unique clown while developing presence, playfulness, and a deep connection with others.
Through games and theatrical exercises, we will drop the actor's ego and embrace the poetic, ridiculous, and unexpected moments of physical storytelling.

About the Facilitator

Rhian Hiew is an actor and theatre practitioner from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, currently based in Singapore. She graduated from the Intercultural Theatre Institute (ITI), Singapore in 2020.
Her practice is deeply grounded in physical theatre, clowning, and embodied performance. She has trained in clowning with Argentinian director Guillermo Angelelli and at the prestigious Helikos School in Italy with Giovanni Fusetti, alongside training in Indian classical dance (Odissi).
Rhian has performed clown shows for community groups and at Esplanade’s Flipside Festival (Singapore, 2022). She also directed the devised theatre work ROMEI, and recently self-produced and performed an adaptation of Metamorphosis in Sabah and KL. Her ongoing research explores embodied performance and the dialogue between traditional forms and contemporary storytelling.
Organization Background
Water has no fixed shape. It flows, it crashes, and it fits into any vessel. That is exactly how we approach art.
Founded in 2025 and led by Jerry Pang, Formless Productions is a multidisciplinary production house that refuses to stay in one box. We are a fluid laboratory for the messy, the loud, and the experimental.
We are dedicated to collaborating with emerging artists who are ready to find their voice. Whether you are on stage, behind a camera, or somewhere in between, we want to build the next wave of creativity with you.
We don't just produce shows; we build playgrounds for the imagination. A space where fresh ideas flow and rules are rewritten.
We Create. We Make. We Play.
Finding gems you'll love…
