About

This is an invitation to create with our hands and experience the quiet magic of natural indigo together. Using a natural process, we dye our pieces in a natural indigo vat and witness how the colour comes alive. 

This is a beginner friendly journey, and you will be guided through the dyeing process and watch your fabric transform as it meets the air. Its more about the experience than perfection.

What do you get in this workshop?

A Handkerchief (2 pcs) or a Scarf (1pc) hand dyed by you in the patterns you create!

About the Instructor

Jia Lei first came across Natural Indigo and Shibori at a craft workshop in Shanghai back in 2017. She remembers to this day the joy of discovering this magical plant dye and creating her first shibori pattern. Her skills are rooted in deep understanding through years of self-learning, research and visits to learn from artisans and grandmasters from India, Thailand and Japan.
