南洋派對 N.Y.P.D LIVE IN KUALA LUMPUR

Hailing from Hong Kong, indie rockers N.Y.P.D. channel Led Zeppelin mixed with a distinctly Hong Kong state of mind. Having previously played major festivals like Clockenflap, Boiler Room Hong Kong, HPYE Fest and supported the likes of Metz and Balming Tiger, they're no strangers to the big stage, and are set to add to their growing fan base with their upcoming South East Asia tour.

Often influenced by the group’s city adventures, its songs reveal the members’ satirical takes on everything from consumerism to romance. The band’s most well-known song “Mee & Gee” – which has racked up more than 200,000 plays on streaming platform Spotify – tells the tale of a trip to the namesake second-hand clothing shop with locations across the city.

The band’s sound is a hybrid of post-punk and psychedelic electronica, while the singing style has a distinctive local flair. Not only do the lyrics feature Hong Kong slang – but its delivery is also inspired by nan yin, a Cantonese narrative song art.

樂隊的創作經常受到城市生活的啟發，歌曲內容充滿對消費主義與愛情等主題的諷刺。最廣為人知的作品《美之》，在串流平台 Spotify 上已累積超過 40 萬次播放，講述了一段前往同名二手服裝店購物的故事，該品牌在香港多區均設有分店。

N.Y.P.D. 的音樂風格融合了後龐克與迷幻電子元素，而主唱風格則帶有濃厚的本地色彩。不僅歌詞中運用了香港俚語，其演唱方式亦受到南音（廣東敘事歌藝）的啟發，展現出別具一格的本土風貌。
