About
| Chun Wai is a Movement artist, percussionist, street artist (stage name: WaaiwaiiDrum), and arts educator. Deeply passionate about West African traditional percussion (African rhythms), the Djembe is a traditional hand drum from West Africa, known for its deep and resonant sound. Though simple in structure, different hand techniques create a rich and captivating rhythm vocabulary. As you drum, beat by beat, your body begins to sway gently with the rhythm. In this community workshop, the facilitator will guide everyone step by step, starting from the basics. Open to anyone interested in rhythm and drumming, no prior music experience needed. (Age requirement: 15 years above) |
