About
Join us for a captivating evening of music with violinist Orest Smovzh and cellist Christopher Mui, as they bring to life a vivid tapestry of sound that spans centuries and styles.
At the heart of the programme lies a reimagining of Johann Sebastian Bach’s Inventions — timeless gems transformed for violin and cello, full of dialogue, wit, and expressive power. These iconic works are paired with striking contemporary compositions by Andrew Norman, Gaspar Cassadó, and others, offering moments of joyful spontaneity, quiet introspection, and spirited interplay.
Spot the hungry dinosaur right outside the venue! Muzium Rakyat Melaka is the fun venue we've chosen for this concert! We invite you to experience music both ancient and new, in a space steeped in history and resonance. Let the purity of Bach meet the bold voices of today — all through the intimate and expressive pairing of violin and cello.
