The Art of Conducting: Mastering Gesture & Expression

The conductor and choirmaster Vinzenz Weissenburger works with conductors such as Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta and Sir Simon Rattle and conducts orchestras such as the Konzerthausorchester Berlin, the Staatskapelle Berlin and the Lautten Compagney in concerts and operas. Outside Europe, he has appeared as a conductor in Argentina, Vietnam, China, Qatar, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey, Mexico and the USA. He has conducted the children's choir of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin since 2007 and has since developed it to such an extent that it won 1st prize at the German Choir Competition in 2014. Vinzenz Weissenburger has been awarded the "Conductor's Prize" several times at competitions, most recently in June 2023 with another 1st prize at the German Choir Competition in Hanover in the A2 category with the Junges Ensemble Berlin.

In September 2015, he founded the youth chamber choir Junges Consortium Berlin, which proved its pure and youthful sound at the International Chamber Choir Competition in Marktoberdorf 2019, among others. In 2017, he took over the direction of the choir of the Junges Ensemble Berlin and has been teaching choral conducting at the Berlin University of the Arts since 2020.

Since 2017, he has been part of the team of lecturers and conductor of the opera gala at the International Masterclass OperOderSpree in Beeskow.
