Sharon Tang Ruo Qian
Graduated with a Bachelor degree of Classical Music from UCSI University, where she majored in Classical Piano under Kenneth Teh Kien Huat. She passed her Associate Diploma in Classical Piano (AMEB) at the age of 16. She has received several accolades, including 2nd Prize in the Euroasia Piano Competition, Negeri Sembilan Festival (2019), Gold Award in the Mia Young Musician Competition (2024), and 3rd Prize in the Euroasia Piano Competition, Kuala Lumpur Festival (2024).
Venturing in to the field collaborative pianist, Sharon sees vocal skills as a crucial asset. She pursued classical voice of which she started at the age of 16, first with Doreen Teo Sew Eng and currently under the tutelage of mezzo soprano, YiLing Chaing. She received Grade 6 classical voice from Trinity College London (2016). Other than solo singing experience, she is a former member of Kenaniah Youth Festival Chorale Sarawak, and have the privilege to performed the celebrated Mozart's "Mass in C minor". She had her opera debut as the first spirit in "The Magic Flute" with Kuala Lumpur City Opera in 2019. Recent year, she advanced her journey in vocal study and was awarded 3rd prize in "The Song" Fiestalonia Milenio (Spain) International Online Contest. She is also currently a young artist in residence at Fiamma Opera Studio.
