Alex Lau Kiew Kong

Alex was admitted Fellowship in Vocal Performance with the Highest Honours (Australian International Conservatorium of Music). He also received Certificate of attainment in Choral Conducting and Ofqual Training Qualification UK for Adjudicator. In 2024, Mr. Alex was invited to perform at the Permaisuri Zarith Sofiah Opera House and played a baritone opera role in the Mozart's opera. In the same year, he was recorded in the Celebrity Biographies of Celebrities collector’s series in the Sin Chew Daily's 95th Anniversary Ceremony. In 2023, Alex was invited to perform in the 5th Chin Yong Music Festival to sing the World Premiere of the Malaysia first chamber opera Endless Darkness. In 2022, Alex was awarded “Malaysia Top Ten Outstanding Youth Award” and was successfully recorded in the Asia Pacific International Book of Records in 2023. In 2022, he also awarded “Sun Yat-Sen Figure of the year awards” in Yat-Sen Brand awards ceremony. In 2021, Alex was selected and recorded in the third edition of the British publishing house “Britishpedia Successful People in Malaysia”, and awarded the Certificate Based on Outstanding Performance. His Significant Awards: 2020 Malaysia Top Ten Baritone in Concert Recital; Singer Laureate Award, 2019 Top Ten Outstanding Achievement Award (Malaysia International Arts Festival Gold Award ceremony), 2017/2018/2023/2024 International Choir Competition as LA SPERANZA choir conductor – Gold Award & DIPLOMA. He is currently Adjudicator and Evaluation Team Consultant of Sarawak Singing Council, Committee of the Malaysian Choral Directors Association (Sarawak representative), actively promotes the development of Sarawak’s vocal music and choral activities.
