NAVEEN RAJA is a Malaysian Indian multidisciplinary theatre practitioner with most notable accolades in the 19th Boh Cameronian Arts Awards with his acting debut in Amma Chellam (Anomalist Production) and Short+Sweet Theatre 2025, winning Festival Director’s Award with his performance in The Violet Veil.
He has quickly carved out a dynamic presence in the industry. His other stage credits include Garam (EJKLSSeni), Son of the Forest (Amberjade Arts), Murder at the Jet (TA Productions) and as a resident actor under Hush the Theatre, performing in three children’s productions titled Crayons Gone Wild, The Non-Essentials and Bohemian Kats: The Great Escape.
Beyond performing, Naveen’s versatility extends off-stage with technical and front-of-house roles. Most prominent projects include Fault Lines (Protagonist Studio & Cocoon Creative Lab), Oceans of Pride: Waves of Legacy (MISC & Malaysian Philhamonic Orchestra) and Teater Muzikal Paduka Cik Siti (Persatuan Alumni ASWARA).
Additionally, he has sharpened his writing and directing skills through EJKLSSeni’s The Young Blood Experiment (TYBE) and as a graduate of TYBE 2024, he has since written and directed Ammavin Thuru for Short+Sweet Theatre (2024) and Bloodnight Stains for Neo-Transcendental (2025).
Now, Naveen is embarking on a new musically-inclined journey as cast and ensemble member in the award-winning musical, Life Is… by KL Men’s Chorus, set to be restaged once again in January 2026.
Naveen continues to be the beautiful force to be reckoned with in the performing arts industry, holding multi-faceted roles in singing, dancing, acting, writing, directing and on some days, the “tech guy”.
