Every year during the seventh lunar month, local residents gather at Pek Kong Cheng to hold the grand Hungry Ghost Festival, worshipping the statue of Da Shi Ye, a symbol of compassion and protection. This is not merely a religious ritual, but also a century-old cultural memory that unites the community’s faith and strength.
