Kirana Kay

Kirana Kay, a vocalist that performs authentic Jazz, Pop Rock, Traditional Malay, R&B and Soul. Compatible with contemporary genres, Kirana is a regular feature at Kuala Lumpur’s entertainment industry. A gifted vocalist with wide array of modern contemporary repertoire. Michael Jackson, Billy Joel, Zainal Abidin, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole, Kurt Elling, Mel Torme, Miles Davis and Tom Jobim has inspired her to become a versatile vocalist with her own twist of improvisations. Exploring jazz standards in a more elaborated styles is one of the many goals that Kirana is trying to achieve.

 

 

Urban Tribes

UrbanTribes was form under the influence of RH factor by Roy Hargrove led by Eddie Wen, trumpeter who tour with Jonathan Lee (李宗盛), Aska Yang (杨宗纬), Sheila Majid, Ning Baizura, Anuar Zain just to name a few.

A Jazz/Neo Soul band from a pop/rock background makes us more open to try a different approach of presenting our music. UrbanTribes music influences from Duke Ellington, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, Roy Hargrove, music soul child, Khalim Fong, David Tao…etc
