Lum Wei Xuan, one of the younger Piano Prodigy in Malaysia will be holding her physical recital alongside with her Great Master Mr Minoru Miura playing from Baroque to Contemporary. Lum Wei Xuan and Mr Minoru Miura will be playing both classical and contemporary pieces such as Bach, Scarlatti, Mozart, Chopin, Listz, Kabalevsky and Joe Hisaishi. 
We aim to share our love and dedication to those who need by holding a musical concert.&nbsp; 
Hence, we are donating our tickets selling profits to United Nation World Peace Association (UNWPA).

Minoru Miura was born in Tokyo, Japan. He studied at the Toho Gakuen School of music in Tokyo, Juilliard School in New York City, Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary, University of Washington in Seattle and the School of Music, Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas U.S.A.
 
Mr. Miura received international prizes including the Silver Medal from Finale Ligure International Competition, (1989), Diploma Award from the Viotti International Competition (1989) in Italy, and was a prizewinner of the Northwest Young Artist Competition (1992) in Seattle, U.S.A.
 
Mr. Miura continues to concretize including very successful recitals in the Tokyo Opera City Hall, one of the most respected venues in Tokyo. He also made major public performances in the Kisterem Hall in Budapest, Ed Landreth Hall, Walsh Performing Center in Texas, U.S.A., and Steinway Hall in Tokyo.
 
Mr. Miura was an assistant professor of piano at the Shobi University Tokyo in 2000-2007. Also, he regularly judges the PTNA (Piano Teachers National Association in Japan) Piano Competition since 2006, and was a member of the International Jury for The 2007 World Piano Competition, in Cincinnati, OH. U.S.A. He was a jury of the Aloha International Piano Competition in Honolulu, Hawaii, in 2017. He was also a member and competition jury of the MTNA (Music Teachers National Association) in U.S.A. He is now a faculty of Bentley Music Academy in Malaysia, since 2017. He is one of the jury for the final round of the UCSI University International Piano Festival & Competition 2022.  His performances have released as digital albums by PTNA Recordings, which is on streaming in over 40 countries in the world.

Minoru Miura

Lum Wei Xuan is a piano enthusiast.  Currently she is 9 years old (as at 2023) and residing in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Little Wei Xuan started to fall in love with playing piano at the age of 4 years old. At the age of five, little Wei Xuan begins to receive her piano lessons from Mr. Minoru Miura. With her growing passion for piano, she has received 2 Malaysia Book of Records awards when she was 6 for: 

‘Most number of international piano competition awards obtained in a year by a child.’ 

And; 

‘Most number of piano exam certificates (Grade 6, 7 and 8) obtained in a month by a child.’, 

Also, Wei Xuan is awarded with the testimony as the Malaysia youngest “Steinway Young Rising Star”.

At the age of 7, Wei Xuan was awarded with her third Malaysia Book of Records certificate for “ Youngest to receive piano performance diploma “.

This motivated her to reach out for more piano competitions and through participation in these competitions available to Wei Xuan, she has gotten more than 50 awards:
-Platinum top price (Quebec international Music Competition 2021)
- 11 1st place awards (Best Mozart Performance for Great Composer Competition 2022, Golden Piano Talent International Competition with Best Mozart Performance, IMKA International Music 2021, Spring 2021 King's Peak International Music Competition, Summer 2021 King's Peak International Music Competition, Four Notes International piano competition, 8th International Piano Competition "Città di San Donà di Piave", International Online piano competition Sergei Rachmaninoff, V Odin International Piano Competition 2020, Chopin Avenue International Piano Competition 2020, King’s Peak International Music Competition 2020)
- Four Gold awards (Quebec Music Competition 2022, 5th Brilliant Talent Discovery Awards International Music, Canadian International Music Competition 2020, Bangkok International Piano Competition year 2020)
and others.

Lum Wei Xuan’s piano journey has only just begun. Nature and nurture perfectly balanced with Wei Xuan aspire her to bring herself to greater heights. 

With a great passion of music, Wei Xuan also plays xylophone and she wish to be a percussionist too.

Wei Xuan hopes to let the world see more of her performances and enjoy listening to her music.
