About
For centuries, we have looked towards the moon as a symbol of love, loneliness and longing. From the film fantasies of Georges Melies to romantic ballads of Teresa Teng, the meloncholy of Nick Drake and the moonlit poetry of Debussy's Clair de lune,. The Moon is My Mirror explores how something so distant can feel so deeply personal.
What To Expect
Through a carefully curated selection of music, cinema, poetry and storytelling, guests will explore the moon's place in our collective imagination, from classical compositions and romantic ballads to folk, ambient and contemporary music.
The programme includes vinyl listening, a screening of Georges Méliès' A Trip to the Moon (1902), and stories behind the artists and works featured throughout the evening.
