Press Play: A Mixtape Zine Workshop

Zine making is a hands-on, creative session where participants learn to make their own self-published, mini-magazines using simple materials like paper, scissors, and collage scraps. These workshops focus on DIY self-expression, storytelling, and sharing ideas without rules or perfectionism.

So we start with a simple question: what does your mood sound like today?

From there, you build a playlist, then translate it into a 4-panel accordion zine using collage, doodling and whatever mixed media feels right. The zine becomes the insert for a cassette holder, together with a customised laser-cut acrylic cassette tape with your name engraved on it.

No art skills needed. Just a mood, some songs, and your hands doing the talking.

You leave with something you made — part playlist, part visual diary, part object that's entirely yours.
