Kaneko Ayano (カネコアヤノ) is a critically acclaimed Japanese singer-songwriter, model, and actress known for her emotionally charged performances and genre-blending sound.

Hailing from Yokohama, she carved her own path into music, eventually emerging as one of Japan’s most distinctive and compelling voices. She often performs either solo or with her full band, kanekoayano.

Since her debut acoustic album hug (2016) and the release of her first vinyl Muretachi (2017), Kaneko has garnered a devoted following with her poetic lyricism, soul-stirring vocals, and a signature low register that conveys both strength and vulnerability. Her music spans folk, indie rock, and experimental pop—always rooted in deeply personal storytelling.

A major milestone came in 2021 with a sold-out performance at the legendary Nippon Budokan, a feat she reprised with a two-night return in 2023. Her recent appearance at Fuji Rock Festival was hailed as one of the event’s standout sets, further solidifying her reputation as a powerhouse live performer.

Following three successful tours in the UK and a debut tour in Australia, Kaneko Ayano is now bringing her captivating live show alongside her band kanekoayano to Kuala Lumpur for the first time.
