About
In this hands-on digital workshop, participants are invited to contribute to a collective imagined world.
Participants will receive a creative prompt centered on the theme of imaginary nostalgia . They are required to reinterpret the prompt into a digital drawing. By drawing on a tablets their drawings are instantly animated into a living digital realm, projected onto a shared screen that grows and transforms with every contribution. The space becomes a collective memory garden, glowing with the colors and stories of each child. The workshop functions as a preview for the final work that will be shown during the YSDAF festival at Elmina.
Guided by artists and facilitators, participants will:
- Explore the idea of nostalgia through imagination
- Create hand-drawn memories using digital tools
- See their artwork come alive in a shared visual space
- Reflect on how individual memories shape a collective digital spirit
Through drawing, the act becomes a gentle form of remembering and imagining together—a temporary digital sanctuary where memories and dreams intertwine.
Recommended Age: 3 - 12 years old
