Wong Lay Chin is a theatre director and arts educator based in Malaysia. A graduate of National Taipei University of the Arts, she specializes in realism directing and intimate performance experiences. She previously served as Director and Academy Planner at Performing Arts Centre of Penang (penangpac), and is currently a lecturer in the Department of Drama and Visuals at New Era University College, as well as the Art Director of Move Creativ.
Her works have toured internationally and received recognition at the ADA Drama Awards, including Best Original Screenplay (17th ADA) and a nomination for Best Adapted Script (20th ADA). Beyond directing, she actively engages in theatre education, mentorship, and cross-disciplinary creative collaborations.
