Transitional Cinema is a film collective - birthed in response to the changes Malaysia underwent from 2018 to 2020 where the country was thrusted from "New Malaysia" into the "New Normal" almost immediately. This state of being in between and adapting to the shifts is a constant to the human experience because change is inevitable - the despair, the nostalgia, and the tenacity to move forward. This is captured by a group of filmmakers via an ongoing series of films with the support of Finas and the Krishen Jit Fund.
